Today I'll be reviewing, and swatching their BRAND NEW "Meet Matt(e) Hughes" Liquid Lipstick line which is full of eight, matte, long lasting, natural and bold shades.

Official "The Balm" Brand Product Description: "Introducing a truly loyal long-lasting liquid lipstick—Meet Matt(e) Hughes. With eight dreamy shades to choose from, you can take your pick from this hopelessly devoted collection. This long-wearing formula has a comfortable matte finish with no commitment issues. These matte vanilla mint liquid lipsticks are stuck on you without feeling clingy!" My Personal Description: This is a long lasting, bold, and soothing matte lipstick that won't hurt your wallet! I loved the scent, and feel, as it was far less drying than many other liquid lipsticks I've tried before. The mellow, slight scent and tingle of mild menthol paired with the dependable pigmentation and smoothing look of this lipstick makes it by far one of my all time favorites!

Ingredients: Polybutene, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Octyldodecanol, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Candelila Cera ((Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax) Cire De Cadelila, Cera Carnauba ((Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax) Cire De Carnauba, Trihydroxystearin, Polyethylene, Phenoxyethanol, Flavor (Aroma), Bumetrizole, Tocopheryl Acetate, Tocopherol, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Camelia Oleifera (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf Extract, Panax Ginseng Root Extract, Retinyl Palmitate. MAY CONTAIN/PEUT CONTENIR [ /- : Mica (CI 77019), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77492, CI 77491, CI 77499), Red 6 (CI 15850), Red 7 Lake (CI 15850), Blue 1 Lake (CI 42090), Red 30 Lake (CI 73360), Yellow 5 Lake (CI 19140), Red 28 Lake (CI 45410)]

Packaging: These lipsticks come in a cardboard box with a retro design. The box flips open to a plastic lipstick circular case, nothing crazy here. The cap unscrews with a felt applicator. Functional, easy to use, no leakage. 5/5

Price: I purchased mine for their whole sale professional price at $8.25, retail price is usually $16.00. Still affordable either way, and about 3-4 dollars cheaper at retail price than most other liquid lipsticks. 5/5 Accessibility: You can purchase these lipsticks professional at Cosmoprof for their whole sale price if you're a licensed professional. Retail wise you can purchase them on their website, and a Kohls. Very easy to find! 5/5 Smell: This lipstick has a very subtle yet appealing scent of menthol primarily, and a very slight vanilla scent in the background. The smell is not overwhelming at all. Just a pleasant background note that dissipates after application. 5/5 Texture and Feel: With liquid lipsticks this is a huge factor. Some liquid lipsticks are exceedingly drying, making them unpleasant to wear. The Meet Matt(e) Hughes shades are not in this category. Upon application they are smooth, subtle and have a subtle menthol tingle. After about a minute the product drys on the lips, smoothing out the appearance of the lips yet the product does not get flaky, nor does it crack. Like all liquid lipsticks, it does not have a satin feel after it drys, however it is not uncomfortable on the lips at all, and I barely noticed I had it on. 5/5

Pigment: These lipsticks are extremely pigmented, and true to tone. They go on with an impact, and are not sheer or diluted in any way! 5/5

Shades: These lipsticks come in eight beautiful shades ranging from nudes to bolds. They are: Adoring (merlot), Loyal (deep red), Devoted (bright red), Sentimental (warm magenta), Charming (rich mauve), Honest (warm coral), Committed (pinky nude) and Chivalrous (bright pink). I wish they had some crazy shades like bright purple or blue, maybe in the future! 4/5

Wearability: I was able to eat and drink for an elongated period of time without this product getting all over the place. I did reapply it to the middle of my lips after about five hours, but that's some great wearability! No issues! 5/5

Special Features: The scent, tingle, high pigment and wearability paired with the price makes this a top choice for liquid lipsticks. Travel Size: YES at .25oz it is travel safe

Can you use this everyday?: YES with eight different shades, or even just choosing your favorite shade, you could easily wear this product daily. It would fit into most morning routines. Tip and Tricks: Before adding any other lip products on top or around this product you will want to wait at least five minutes for it to completely dry. Overall Review: I am in LOVE with these! From their long wear, and lasting pigment to their comfortable texture and appealing subtle scent these affordable liquid mattes are on my top ten list for certain. I give them a 5/5!
